Man of Dust
Man of Dust is the cover name for the music of Josiah Tolopilo, a SoCal born and raised folk musician. Josiah grew up listening to a variety of music, ranging from Simon and Garfunkel, to Jethro Tull, to Credence Clearwater Revival.
He wrote his first song when he was 16, and since then his musical abilities to write and record music have only continued to grow. His pilot album, Man of Dust, is a collection of ballads ranging from mythical folk tales to the old western cautionary. Currently Josiah resides in Sacramento where he balances the life of a medical professional and self-promoting musician.
Story-telling makes up the core of Josiah's work, musically and otherwise; every verse is part of a larger story. His current album is a collection of songs, each of which is its own stand alone story. He has also written and continues to write concept albums with an overarching theme which he hopes to record for you one day.
As a band, Man of Dust performs with four members:
Josiah - Guitar, Keys, Harmonica, Flute, & vocals
Aaron - Guitar, Violin, & Vocals
Mike - Harmonica & Percussion
Michaela - Bass & Vocals
